Everything new for Messages/Animoji in iOS 13
Altering privacy settings
Apple recently released iOS13, and with it comes a ton of improvements for the iPhone, including the ability to set an iMessage profile picture and name that shows up when you send texts. Setting up this new feature is really rather easy. Then hit Edit Name and Photo to access the new settings. From this menu you can choose the first and second name you want to share, as well as selecting your profile image.
How to set a custom name and photo through the Messages app

You can even personalize your messages with animated effects, iMessage apps, and more — all within the Messages app. On iPhone SE 2nd generation , you'll need to swipe left on the notification, then tap View to reply to a message from the Lock screen.
Benjamin Mayo. With iOS 13 for iPhone and iPad, you can now set up your own iMessage profile with a first name, last name, and profile picture. The next time you chat to someone with iMessage, they can update their local contact info to see your new photo and details. Until iOS 13, the Messages service would not share any information with people you contact. This means everyone would have to manually set images and names in their address book. In iOS 13, you can now control your own profile and share your name and photo with others.
